The Weeknd lidera los finalistas de los Billboard Music Awards 2022, que se realizarán el domingo 15 de mayo a las 21:00 hrs (hora de Chile) con un total de 17 nominaciones.
Otros finalistas importantes incluyen a Doja Cat con 14 nominaciones; Justin Bieber, Kanye “Ye” West y Olivia Rodrigo con 13 cada uno; Drake con 11; Dua Lipa y Ed Sheeran con nueve cada uno; Kid LAROI con ocho; y BTS, Giveon y Taylor Swift con siete cada uno.
The Weeknd competirá por el premio al mejor artista con Doja Cat, Drake, Rodrigo y Swift. Olivia Rodrigo también está nominada a mejor artista nuevo, un premio que ganó en los Grammy del domingo, esta vez compitiendo con Giveon, Masked Wolf, Pooh Shiesty y The Kid LAROI.
Además, la colaboración de The Weeknd con Ariana Grande para la canción “Save Your Tears (Remix)” opta a seis premios. Occidente, por su parte, domina las categorías cristiana y evangélica.
Los premios se entregarán en 62 categorías que abarcan una variedad de géneros, incluidas cinco categorías que son nuevas en el programa de este año:
